With events surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak changing and developing hourly, we would like to assure our staff, clients and supply chain that the MGL Group of Companies will continue to operate as usual as stated in our Business Continuity Plan.
We will continue to keep you updated on the latest advice as issued by the government as well as providing you with information on the company’s response.
The health and wellbeing of our people is our priority, and we have contingency plans in place for each area of the business. It is important that we consider the long term commercial impact of the virus on the MGL Group of Companies.
In order to minimise this impact, we will endeavour to keep all sites open and operational, and we ask that each of you do all that you can to assist with this.
It is vital that we all follow government guidelines and self-isolate if you are displaying any symptoms, or have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. If you are well, it is important that you come to work. Remote working has been facilitated this week to enable admin teams to work from home increasing the ‘Social Distancing’ as advised by the government.
We have not implemented a travel ban or cancelled any scheduled training, this will all remain in place until such time as we receive advice from the government.
Davison House, Newburn and Barton all remain open, and where practicable, shifts have been split to minimise the number of staff in the buildings and maintain Social Distancing. Hand sanitizers/hand washing facilities are in place, and non-contact temperature checks for visitors will take place using digital thermometers.
Welfare facilities on site will be cleaned regularly, before and after use, hands should be washed regularly throughout the working day and Social Distancing should be applied during break times.
The implementation of SharePoint and Teams will enable scheduled meetings to continue, face to face meetings will be kept to a minimum.
If you have any queries please speak to your line manager in order to protect yourself, your co-workers and your project.

If working from home is new to you, the BBC has compiled this guide to help you stay productive.
Together we can continue to operate effectively through this unprecedented disruption to daily life, and continue to support our teams on site and in the offices, our clients and the communities in which we live and work.
Take care and stay safe,
Kind Regards on Behalf of the Board of Directors
Director 19th March 2020
