Tynedale Roadstone is a leading supplier of innovative bituminous macadams and asphalts, operating state-of-the-art production plants in Newcastle upon Tyne and North Yorkshire. We are at the forefront of sustainable solutions, offering pioneering products like our net zero asphalt.
Our commitment to minimising environmental impact is evident in our practices. We incorporate up to 30% recycled asphalt (RAP) into our materials while adhering to specifications. This reduces embodied carbon, saving approximately 4% for every 10% RAP utilised. Furthermore, our Warm Mix Asphalt technology, which lowers production temperatures by up to 50°C through innovative binder additives, substantially decreases our carbon footprint and fuel consumption.
Beyond asphalt, we are also a leading supplier of high-quality aggregates from our quarries in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Our aggregate products are available in convenient loose-tipped loads and 25kg or 800kg bulk bags to meet diverse project requirements.
Demonstrating our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we are investing in a new wash plant facility in Newburn, Newcastle, enabling us to offer recycled aggregates starting in Summer 2025.
