Rainton Construction Celebrates Five Major Wins at CECA Awards

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Rainton Construction has achieved outstanding success at the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Awards, securing an incredible five major wins:

1. Health & Safety Initiative
   Recognised for our data-driven safety culture and commitment to achieving zero reportable incidents. This award celebrates our focus on preventative safety practices and the full, effective participation in our behavioural safety programmes.
2. Social Value Initiative
   Celebrated for making a tangible impact in the region. Our efforts focus on promoting local skills and employment, developing our dedicated workforce, supporting community initiatives, engaging the regional supply chain, and actively safeguarding the environment.
3. Project of the Year (Under £1m): Locomotion Car Park
   Awarded for delivering a landmark sustainable infrastructure and flood prevention scheme. As Durham County Council’s first porous car park system, this project significantly improved museum access while setting a new standard for managing surface water.
4. Project of the Year (Over £5m): SeAH Wind Monopile Facility
   Honoured for our critical role as the first trade contractor on site and the sole civil engineering partner from the project’s inception. Our early involvement in planning and build sequencing was instrumental in establishing the foundation and securing significant local contractor involvement for the world’s largest monopile facility.
5. Trainee Civil Engineer of the Year: Ryan Jefferson
   Congratulations to Ryan, who was recognised for his exceptional professional growth, leadership, and ability to take on senior responsibilities. Ryan delivered major works at SeAH Wind, Shed B, and Blyth Bebside Station, consistently demonstrating high-quality results, safety excellence, initiative, and a true passion for developing himself and his colleagues.

This achievement underscores our commitment to excellence, innovation, and social responsibility across all our operations, as well as the dedication of our entire team.
