MGL Group is a well-established, family-run company founded in 1972, delivering a wide range of services across the construction industry. Due to continued growth and investment, we are seeking a Quarry Labourer to join our team, at Tynedale Roadstone Limited, Longhoughton Quarry, Alnwick, NE66 3AE.
As a Quarry Labourer, you will support the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the site. This is a hands-on role where you will assist with general site duties while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- • Carry out general labouring duties across the quarry site
- • Assist plant operators and site supervisors as required
- • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness
- • Support with loading and movement of materials
- • Follow all company health and safety procedures
- • Assist with basic maintenance and operational tasks
What We’re Looking For
- Previous labouring experience (quarry, construction, or similar preferred)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working within a quarry or recycling environment
- CPCS / NPORS or other plant-related qualifications
- Full UK driving licence

About the Job
Hours of work typically involve Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, with Saturdays as required. Good rates of pay, overtime, and benefits offered, with an immediate start available.
