Due to continued growth and investment, we have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Excavator/Shovel Driver to join our Tynedale Reclamation Team at our Newburn, Newcastle Site on a full-time and permanent basis.
As an Excavator/Shovel Driver, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our site, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently while maintaining high operational standards. You will be committed to ensuring safe working conditions and adherence to all company principles, procedures, and regulations relevant to your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and loading shovels safely and efficiently
- Support screening and recycling operations
- Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects
- Assist with general site operations as required
- Maintain high housekeeping and site safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- Valid CPCS/NPORS qualification for excavator and/or loading shovel operation
- Proven experience operating excavators and/or loading shovels
- Experience in screening operations and/or mobile plant is desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends
- Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to undertake further training
About the Job
- The role will be Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm, and may include weekends when required. Good rates of pay, regular overtime and benefits offered, with immediate start available.
