As we continue to grow and invest in our people, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Administrator to join our Commercial Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the Role

We are looking for a structured, detail-oriented Commercial Administrator to join our commercial team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial and administrative workflows that keep our processes running smoothly, with a strong focus on subcontractor management and cash flow visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash & Valuations Monitoring: Track applications for payment, monitor certificates, and monitor cash inflows and outflows against project timelines.
  • Subcontract Liability Monitoring: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of our liabilities and commitments with subcontractors to assist with accurate cost forecasting.
  • Subcontract Auditing & Payments: Development and audit of subcontractor payment, process payments accurately, and ensure full compliance with contractual terms.
  • General Commercial Administration: Support the wider commercial and quantity surveying teams with data entry, record keeping, document control, and ad-hoc administrative tasks.

What we are looking for

  • Experience: Previous experience in a commercial administration, accounts payable, or project administration role ideally within the construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Financial Literacy: Comfort working with numbers, applications for payment, payment certificates, and basic financial reporting.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy when auditing documents and managing payment schedules to prevent errors.
  • Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard construction accounting or ERP systems.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communication skills to effectively liaise with subcontractors and the internal teams.
