We have established an ongoing partnership with Lawson of Beamish (LLOB), working collaboratively to enhance the Academy’s careers programme. To date we have delivered a range of events including mock interviews, attending careers fairs and hosting interactive sessions.
Recently, Team MGL representatives have been preparing Year 11 students for the world of work, college or university.
More than 250 students have been learning about CV design, writing a cover letter, job applications and the interview process, ending the session with a mock interview to put practical skills into action.
This was a fantastic opportunity to highlight the exciting range of careers in construction, the variety of apprenticeships we offer and promote the benefits of earn and learn schemes.
