MGL Group is proud to support the Newcastle United Foundation and its Kick Off Your Career in Ashington programme, an employability initiative for young people aged 16 to 24.
The course aims to help link participants with job opportunities and mentoring, offering exclusive access, industry insight, and a fully supported application process for career opportunities with local employers.
This was a great opportunity for young people looking to get into work. Social Value Manager Greg Chapman gave an insightful presentation about the wide variety of roles within construction and the different entry points into the industry, including Apprenticeships, Degree Apprenticeships, and T-levels. He highlighted the various opportunities available at MGL Group, offering a glimpse into careers with the hope to inform and inspire.
Our team is contributing to the skills development of young people in the region by volunteering their time to create relevant opportunities and help the Foundation carry out its impactful work in the community.
