Easington Academy World of Work event

Representatives from MGL Group attended the Construction Careers Day at Easington Academy, helping young people explore careers in our industry and making them aware of the wide range of opportunities available. The event which formed part of the schoools World of Work Week.

Group Administrator Sara and Trainee Business Administrator Clarice attended the event and showcased the various careers spanning the entire business spectrum, including office and site-based roles. This comprehensive approach aimed to broaden student’s perspectives on the myriad career paths available within the company and the industry.

The interactive event covered key aspects of MGL Group’s operations, shedding light on roles including civil engineering, road surfacing, demolition, and earthworks. Students were given a firsthand look at the exciting and dynamic world of construction and how their favourite subjects at school would help them in the world of work. Emphasising the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects, we highlighted how these disciplines play a crucial role in the construction industry.

It was a fantastic event and we received positive feedback from the school, we hope that our insights gave students a glimpse into the real-world aspects of various professions and left a lasting impression.

We are committed to fostering the next generation of talent in the construction sector. By participating in events like these, we aim to inspire students to explore rewarding career paths within our industry.
