Blast at Longhoughton Quarry

40,000 tonnes of limestone was safely extracted at our quarry in Alnwick using 5821kg of explosives to blast behind the rock face.

Holes were drilled and the explosives were detonated to dislodge the limestone. The blasted material was taken for processing.

At Longhoughton Quarry we produce a wide range of construction materials in carboniferous limestone, whinstone and shale to serve our projects across the region. All materials are also available for third party purchase.
