MGL Group, through their charitable arm MGL Foundation Trust, is proud to be supporting the next generation of footballing talent by sponsoring new training and warm-up tops for Wallsend Boys Club U11s ahead of the upcoming season.
Wallsend Boys Club is one of the most respected youth football organisations in the North East, with a long-standing reputation for developing talented young players and providing opportunities for boys and girls to enjoy and excel in the game. Through its strong youth development programme, the club delivers high-quality coaching, development sessions and competitive team football, helping young people build their skills both on and off the pitch.
The club’s legacy is reflected in the number of players who have progressed to the highest levels of the game. Famous alumni include Premier League record goalscorer Alan Shearer, current Manchester United manager Michael Carrick, and Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson, who completed a £100 million move from Nottingham Forest earlier this year.
The U11s side continues this proud tradition and has enjoyed remarkable success in recent years. The team has won both the league and cup in each of the last three seasons and regularly competes in tournaments across the country, frequently returning home with silverware. Their dedication, teamwork and commitment have established them as one of the leading teams in their age group.
At MGL Group, we recognise the important role grassroots sport plays in local communities. Football not only promotes physical activity, but also helps young people develop confidence, teamwork, discipline and lasting friendships.
By sponsoring the team’s new training and warm-up kit, we are proud to play a small part in supporting their continued development and success. We wish the players, coaches and volunteers at Wallsend Boys Club U11s the very best for the season ahead and look forward to following their progress throughout the year.
