About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Earthworks Engineer to plan, manage and oversee earthworks operations across our sites. Working closely with our operational teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
This role is primarily based across the North East, although occasional travel to sites throughout the UK may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage bulk earthworks operations on site.
- Carry out topographical surveys throughout all stages of projects.
- Operate and support GPS Machine Grade Control systems.
- Produce plans and reports using LSS and AutoCAD software.
- Provide engineering and surveying support across multiple projects.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety.
- Work collaboratively with site teams and project managers.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
- Participate in training and continuous professional development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Previous experience working as an Earthworks Engineer on bulk earthworks projects.
- A Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A valid CSCS Card (essential).
- SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CAT & Genny certifications (desirable).
- Experience using GPS Machine Control, LSS and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A full UK driving licence.

Requirements
Experience:
- Earthworks Engineering: Minimum 3 years’ experience (preferred)
Licence/Certification
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- CSCS Card (essential)
