About the Role
Rainton Construction, part of MGL Group, is seeking driven and motivated Civils Site Supervisors to join our established site delivery teams. The ideal candidates will have strong experience supervising on-site civil engineering works, excellent leadership and organisational skills, and a collaborative approach, working closely with site teams and management to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The role is primarily based in the North East, however you may be required to work on any site on which we operate within the UK so a full driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day site activities and drive progress to meet programme targets.
- Coordinate subcontractors, operatives and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring works meet design and specification
- Communicate effectively with project teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain accurate site documentation, including daily diaries and allocation sheets.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Site Supervisor role within the civil engineering or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering works, including drainage, concrete and associated infrastructure.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work from drawings, specifications and programmes.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, direct labour, plant and materials.
- Understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications, including:
- CSCS cars (supervisor or manager level)
- SSSTS OR SMSTS (Preferred)
- First Aid at Work (Preferred)
