About the role
Due to continued growth and investment, we have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Loading Shovel & Excavator Operator to join our team at our at our Longhoughton Quarry in Northumberland, on a full time and permanent basis.
Hours of work typically involve Monday to Friday working 07.00 – 17.00 and Saturdays 07.00 -13.00. Good rates of pay, overtime and benefits offered with immediate start available.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of machines
- Ensure daily maintenance checks and records are completed accurately and meticulous housekeeping standards upheld
- Carrying out routine maintenance checks and identifying maintenance needs and operating errors on plant equipment
- Correctly use and record any defects making sure you report this to specialist maintenance staff
- Changing attachments such as buckets and shovels
Essential
- Must have a valid CPCS card and relevant experience in operating a Loading Shovel and Excavator
- Experience in Mobile Plant operations
- NVQ Level 2 – Plant Operations

The ideal candidate
- Previous experience in operating construction plant, in particular Quarry Loading Shovel and 360 Excavator
- Other relevant CPCS qualifications are advantageous
- A full, clean, UK driving licence is advantageous
