Our Social Value Manager, Greg Chapman, recently attended the Skills Bootcamp: Meet the Employer Day at Hartlepool College of Further Education. This fantastic event connects local learners with real-world employment opportunities across a range of civil engineering companies.
More than 20 jobseekers took part, exploring career pathways and meeting our team in person. The day began with an introduction to the programme, followed by interactive, informal interviews aimed at building confidence and identifying the next generation of industry talent.
It was inspiring to see so much enthusiasm and potential in one room. Events like this play an important role in creating direct employment pathways for people in our community. By bringing employers and learners together, we’re helping open doors to meaningful career opportunities in the construction and civil engineering sectors.
The feedback from the event was excellent, and we’re proud to support initiatives that help people develop new skills, gain industry insight, and move closer to sustainable employment.
