MGL Group is proud to donate £2,000 to support Adam Quarmby, a young man from County Durham who suffered a brain AVM rupture in 2022.
Adam, now 21, collapsed at college after the rupture, which left him unable to walk or talk. His parents were initially told he would not survive, but three years on, despite the challenges, Adam continues to make inspiring progress. He can now say a few words and communicate by typing.
Over the past three years, Adam has received treatment in hospital and at a specialist rehabilitation unit in Middlesbrough. His family now hopes to bring him home. To do so, they have launched a JustGiving page to raise funds for a specially adapted bungalow, where Adam can continue his recovery surrounded by loved ones and supported by a live-in carer.
