MGL Group has recently invested in a new fleet of state of the art Volvo A30J articulated dumpers (ADT’s), reinforcing its long-standing commitment to modernising and strengthening the Group’s operational plant and equipment.
Volvo’s exclusive construction equipment dealer, SMT, recently visited a site near Blyth. The A30Js will play a key role in supporting day to day operations, with their primary function being the efficient movement of large volumes of material across the site to keep earthworks progressing safely and on programme.
This latest investment supports the efficient delivery of complex projects, with the A30J’s permanent 6×6 all wheel drive system providing maximum traction across the varying ground conditions encountered throughout each stage of the works. The articulated steering design delivers a tight turning radius, improving manoeuvrability across busy working areas, while a 29-tonne payload capacity allows material to be transported safely and efficiently.
Engineered to meet the latest Stage V emissions standards, the Volvo A30Js help reduce exhaust emissions while maintaining high levels of productivity. Combined with efficient haulage performance, the machines support MGL Group’s ongoing aim to reduce environmental impact while maintaining output across major earthworks schemes.
Manufacturer led training delivered by SMT ensures operators have a clear understanding of the machinery, supporting safe, confident and consistent operations on site. Standardised training, alongside the A30J’s enhanced braking, stability and safety systems, helps ensure the equipment is operated to the highest standards, regardless of who is in the cab.
These additions mark another positive step in MGL Group’s continued investment in modern technology, supporting safe operations, improved efficiency and the delivery of high quality outcomes across all areas of the business, going forward for clients.
