Due to continued growth and investment, we have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Loading Shovel Operative to join our Team at our Newburn, Newcastle Site on a full-time and permanent basis.
As a Loading Shovel Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our site, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently while maintaining high operational standards. You will be committed to ensuring safe working conditions and adherence to all company principles, procedures, and regulations relevant to your role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Loading Shovel Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently
- Support screening and recycling operations
- Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects
- Maintain high housekeeping and site safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- Valid CPCS card with loading shovel qualification (essential)
- Proven experience operating loading shovels
- Experience in screening operations and/or mobile plant (desirable)
- Full UK driving license
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends
- Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to undertake further training
About the Job
Various shift patterns will be Monday – Friday, 7-5 pm, and may include weekends when required. Good rates of pay, regular overtime and benefits offered with immediate start available.
