MGL Group's Social Value Team Inspires Future Engineers at Yarm School STEM Day

MGL Group’s dedicated social value team supported the STEM Partnership Day hosted by Yarm School, in collaboration with the North East STEM Foundation (NESF). The event welcomed primary school children across the region, offering them a glimpse into the exciting worlds of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Representing Team MGL, Greg and Sara joined other local and national employers to showcase the rewarding opportunities within STEM fields. The day was a chance to bring these subjects to life for young learners, helping them understand how their developing skills can pave the way for their future careers.

Our interactive workshop proved to be a hit. It gave the children hands-on experience of applying STEM principles in our industry. The highlight was our bridge-building activity, a practical challenge in which the students developed essential teamwork and problem-solving skills.

This collaborative initiative underscores the importance of strong partnerships between education and industry. By working together, we can inspire and equip the next generation with the knowledge and enthusiasm they need to become future leaders.
