About the Role
Due to continued growth and investment, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven, Yard Supervisor to join our Team at our Newburn, Newcastle Site on a full time and permanent basis.
This diverse role will suit a candidate who enjoys being involved with multiple facets of the business and at the forefront of operational delivery.
In this role you will support the Maintenance Managers and logistics team to ensure the yard operation meets the standards defined by the management team.
Great organisational and problem-solving skills as well as a desire to muck in and be in the thick of the action are imperative qualities for the successful candidate. You’ll have the opportunity to be hands on with a variety of plant equipment and get the chance to use your skills to enhance the operational efficiently of the whole Plant and Haulage operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Organisation of equipment in the depot to ensure efficient working practices
- Work with logistics teams to ensure next loads are prepped and ready, minimising turnaround times
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Depot based improvement projects
- Support the Plant and Haulage maintenance teams to achieve their objectives
- Prepare equipment for despatch
The Ideal Candidate
The role is predominantly outdoor based and is a practical, hands on one. If this sounds like your sort of role but don’t think you have the necessary experience in plant and surfacing equipment, don’t worry! Our expert team can provide you the necessary training to complement your existing skill set.
A full clean Driving Licence is essential and candidates with previous experience operating plant equipment and forklift, HGV licence will be at an advantage.
